Can Prayer Change Destiny & Fate

The Qur’an states that if Prophet Yunus was not among the musabbihin (i.e. those who always remember God), Allah would not save him from the belly of the whale.1

This story shows that what we do now can affect what God has in store for us.

If we do good, God will bring more good to us.

God can punish us with bad things that happen in our lives

Whoever does righteous deeds, male or female, while Database he believes, then indeed We will revive him with a good life; and indeed we will repay them, by giving a reward that is more than what they have done.

— Surah Al-Nahl verse 97

And whoever turns away from My remembrance and guidance, then indeed for him is a narrow life, and We will gather him on the Day of Resurrection blind.

— Surah Taha verse 124

The Qur’an mentions that Allah helped Prophet Musa (Moses) acquire knowledge and wisdom in return for being a person of noble character, which means that if he was not pious, he would not have this reward:

And when Musa reached his age where he was strong enough and perfect, We gave him wisdom and knowledge; and thus We reward those who try to improve their practices.

The same will be true of prayer in its ability to change the future  Surah Al Qasas verse 14

Database

If you pray to acquire knowledge, God can India Lead arrange the circumstances for us to acquire it.

But if we do not pray, we will not necessarily get that knowledge.

There are various views on this issue.

And we will get different answers depending on who we ask.

However, the picture we get from the Quran is that this world is dynamic in nature; where we constantly rewrite our fate.

Whoever does righteous deeds, male or female, while he believes, then indeed We will revive him with a good life; and indeed we will repay them, by giving a reward that is more than what they have done.
